Toedscool runs like a weird guy
This falls into the category of “hey, that’s cool!” instead of a useful fact about the game, but just look at this guy:
Convergent evolution is real
When two unrelated species evolve into similar shapes, it’s called “convergent evolution“, and its most famous example is carcinogenesis, in which many species have evolved into a crab-like organism.
Wiglett, Wugtrio, Toedscool and Toedscruel are examples of this evolution. They are completely separate Pokémon, not regional variations!
You can name your Pokémon “Egg”
If you name your Pokémon “Egg”, the game will sometimes think it To be an egg and call it “The Egg”. It doesn’t change anything in any meaningful way, but still – Egg is a great name.

Old Pokémon games have HMs that teach you new side moves like Fly, Surf, and Power. ScarVi has Herba Mystica… but what’s the abbreviation for Herba Mystica? That’s right. HM. OH.
Marks and Ribbons for your Pokémon title
You can earn Ribbons for your Pokémon and catch wild ‘mons that have Marks on them, but did you know that each sign grants a title to your Pokémon? Bagin is a reference to Legendary Pokémon: Arceus
The bag store in ScarVi is called Bagin’s, and you might think, “sure, that’s a play on the word ‘bag’, I get it” — but it’s so much more!
Pokémon Legends: Arceus players may remember Bagin as the guy who charged a LOT of money to add a slot to your pocket. Looks like he took all that money and went into business on his own!
There is a super rare Ribbon
…Actually, there is a ribbon that has a good chance of finding it that is very small that no one really yes found it yet. It’s called the once-in-a-lifetime Ribbon, and it’s earned through Surprise Deals!
A great tip for swapping items like Rocky Helmets, Lucky Eggs, and Amulet Coins!

Pokémon with unique sleeping animations
Tinkaton sleeps on its hammer, Rellor sleeps on its poop ball, and lots of other Pokémon curl up and sleep like a dog. It’s very cute, and if you want to see it for yourself, just organize a picnic and wait a few minutes.
Pokémon won’t automatically fight shiny wild Pokémon
Now, we haven’t tried this, but don’t blame us – we’re not willing to test a theory like this considering the 1/4000 chance of finding the light in the first place! However, the internet seems to agree that your Pokémon won’t automatically battle shiny Pokémon when you’re using the Let’s Go feature. That’s a relief.
There are two different Academy founders
Naranja and Uva Academy were founded by two different people. One even looks like an orange, and the other looks like a grape.
Will we learn more about these mysterious founders in the DLC?
Light Pokémon blown away by the wind
Admittedly, when we first saw a swarm of Hoppip flying diagonally into the sky, we assumed it was a glitch (can you blame us?), but it turns out this is actually is the result of light Pokémon not being able to stay where they are in high winds.
There is a bug that causes your Pokémon tattoo
Unfortunately, it may not be permanent (unlike a real tattoo), but it sure looks great:
You can fight the bird on your house
Your house at the start of the game (the house your mother never leaves) has a Squawkabilly on the roof. It’s a Pokémon, like any other – so you can totally fight it if you want.
A sneaky trick to get free PP refills
You can unlearn, then relearn a move in school to easily reload its PP without having to spend Ether. it’s not like Fast as Ether… but it’s free!
Load Tera Orbs
You don’t have to go all the way to the Pokémon Center to refill your Tera Orb. In fact, you don’t even need to do Tera Raid. Just find a Tera Raid cave, interact with it, and return — and your orb will fill up again!
Finding Ditto and Zorua is not difficult
Unfortunately, unlike shiny Pokémon, your Pokémon Let’s Go will automatically fight a disguised Ditto or Zorua and you won’t know until it faints and you get the Ditto/Zorua material. But here are some tips for finding them:
- Press ZL to target a Pokémon and see its real name
- If you see a Pokémon with odd behavior (such as Pineco not in a tree) it could be Ditto or Zorua
- If a Pokémon runs away from you when it’s not normally running, it’s probably Zorua
Scovillain has different heads for different moves
Scovillain’s red and green chili heads are attached with different moves, which is a neat little detail:
