My 15 and a half year old boy is in stage 3. His doctor has agreed with me to give him whatever he wants. Sometimes I cook white chicken with rice, green beans, carrots, and pumpkin. My Yorkie has bladder cancer, she is 14 years old. We had surgery last week, they were able to remove the tumor but not all of the cancer. Unfortunately, the biopsy came back as an invasive cancer. I know it’s hard! She’s fine, we’re on chemotherapy.. as far as I know her kidneys are working well, we’ll get checked on Thursday, but I understand your frustration when she starts. yes, I died from it after 4 years of treatment, this is the maximum that any dog should be kept alive with it. he has a home-cooked diet through naturopathy for dogs, a dietitian with kidney disease supplements and epakitin on them, as well as regular vet prescription foods. often and his experts. I have a little girl that I bought 16 years ago. She is currently taking 0.5mg Fortekor once a day and 3/4 cups a day Royal Canin Kidney Support A crushed stone. My dog is on Hills U/D prescription. He began to develop crystals in his urine. As soon as it came out of the can it was really mushy and he didn’t like it. A customer service representative suggested freezing it to absorb more moisture. I freeze 2 cans at once. Each can is about 3 meals. When I open a new box, I defrost one. This process changes the texture to make it easier to peel off.

I don’t feed my dog dog food anymore. He takes meat, vegetables with some organic butter. Those animals ended up dying from moldy corneas. And they cook it at such a high temperature, all the nutrients are cooked. My suggestion is to cook up some chicken, beef, pork, or lamb for the week, then add some different frozen vegetables during the week.

My young male Yorkie named Duke was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease on March 6, 2022. I feed him. Now the dog meat is fresh and I give him daily powdered pills mixed with his food and he is doing very well. He turns 15 years old in January. Almost blind and deaf but still love life. He sleeps with me every night and can’t imagine my life without him. Will keep him as long as possible as long as he is not in pain.

My vet started my dog on Hill’s K/D formula, but what caused him to develop pancreatic failure. He is currently on Hill’s G/D it’s low in protein and fat. Does he like that? Are not. I would mix vegetables like steamed chickpeas one week, steamed peas the next, and steamed carrots the next week. Low-protein foods are certainly less palatable to dogs, but the alternative is to feed them as usual and then you’ll end up with full-blown kidney failure. You know what that means, don’t you? You have lost your little friend.

We have a very picky 14 year old young man with kidney disease. After some trial and error, we finally decided to alternate between Royal Canin kidney aid and dry food. Royal Canin canned wet food with sauce. Some days she likes dry food, other days she wants wet food. But since we started giving her that food and extra fluid infusion, her levels have stabilized.

Mine is in the early stages of kidney disease and also has arthritis. My vet combines natural/holistic therapies along with conventional medicine. I give her extra fluids with some anti-inflammatory goat’s milk, she takes b12, a goat’s milk cheese that contains anti-inflammatory and urinary tract aids, kidney supplements, kidney medication , fish oil, joint tonic and is on CBD twice a day. She also received a red light treatment which helped both, iv hydration and just started Ozone treatment. She eats all-natural freeze-dried dog food called Simple Food Project. I add broth or goat’s milk to it. She loves it. And she is very difficult.
