3 piglets were trapped in the flood but someone helped
When we think of the three little pigs, our thoughts automatically turn to the fairy tale, where they are being chased by a big bad wolf.
They hide in their houses and are happier when they are unharmed, especially when they reach the brick house.
Things don’t always go quite so smoothly for real-world pigs but in Norfolk, Virginia, there’s a group of pigs that have survived the worst.
It appears that the pigs have been visited regularly by PETA so that they have clean straw and are properly fed, but there has been a flood in the area.
Unfortunately, floodwaters began to flood their pen and they were unable to get out. That’s when the owner contacted PETA and agreed to let them move the pigs out of the floodwaters and into a new home.
It’s not just a matter of them being moved out temporarily, but now they’re in a special area where they can enjoy some R&R. It’s the Blind Spot Animal Rescue & Conservancy in North Carolina, and the pigs couldn’t be happier.
During their time in the reserve, they enjoy swimming in pools, roaming the open fields and foraging. They were also fed fresh pumpkins and other delicacies.
Daphna Nachminovitch, representing PETA, speak: “These three little pigs are living happily ever after in their new sanctuary.”
Honestly, this is something you have to see for yourself to really appreciate. Luckily, they made a video, and we have it for you here:
