It looks like Smart Malaysia (Pro-Net) may be preparing to launch the second product in its product line. Smart car number 3, which is the bigger brother of smart car number 1, was previewed at KL Car Free Morning today at Dataran DBKL as part of World Earth Day celebrations.
Smart car No. 3 is the second model from the smart car joint venture between Geely and Mercedes-Benz, and the electric car is revealed for the first time at Auto Shanghai last year.
Larger in size than Smart #1, Smart #3 is built on the same Geely Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform and offers a range of up to 440 km according to WLTP standards.
Powered by a 66 kWh nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC) battery, the Smart #3 is available with a 272 PS (268 hp or 200 kW) rear-mounted electric motor or a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup with 428 PS (422 horsepower or 315 kW) – the latter was badged as the smart Brabus No. 3.
