I did a very unfashionable editor job this winter: I accidentally bought a new pair of boots before the wave cold weather set it. I basically alternated between a couple of the same pairs throughout the season, wearing them non-stop until they unsightly disintegrated. It’s not necessary to buy a new pair every year, but as one person stated that the boots are, she is very favorite shoesand prepare a stylish mood board before each season changes, which is a pretty big deal. Considering we’re in the thick of winter, and my walking boots are also on their last legs before completely self-destructing, I feel now is the last time to pull the trigger.
For all my procrastination, I’ve found that there’s a good side to this late game shopping. Thanks to the sheer volume of post-winter sales, a lot of the styles I’ve had my eye on are already priced lower than they were a few weeks ago (suddenly buying an extra pair that looks great now).
