The Tesla Model Y Prices have dropped three times since March 2024.
It now starts from $55,900 before on-road costs with the base rear-wheel drive (RWD) version – a saving of $5,000 on the last update and a drop of $9,500 since The slightly refreshed SUV appeared in April.
Prices for the mid-level Model Y Long Range were reduced by $8500 during April to $69,900 before on-road costs, while the top Model Y Performance starts from $82,900 before on-roads – which has been reduced by $8500.

The headline changes to the Tesla Model Y for 2024 are a new black ‘Gemini’ wheel cover design for the base and Long Range variants, along with three new optional exterior colors.
Unfortunately, Australia will largely miss out Update for Model Y distributed by China – despite being manufactured at the same factory in Shanghai – such as greater range, RGB interior ambient lighting and a fabric dashboard.

Service and warranty
Tesla Model Y has a 4-year, 80,000 km warranty in Australia.
Model Y RWD batteries are warranted for 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first. The Model Y long range and performance battery is warranted for 8 years or 192,000 km.
During the warranty period, Tesla Australia guarantees the battery will maintain a minimum capacity of 70%.
Safety
The Tesla Model Y received a five-star ANCAP safety rating in 2022, based on tests conducted by Euro NCAP.
It scored 97% for adult protection, 89% for child protection, 82% for vulnerable road user protection and 98% for safety assistance.
