2024 BYD Atto 3: Updated EV Discount

BYD has quietly confirmed the update Atto 3 for Australia, with a range of technological and aesthetic updates as well as a lower price.

The standard line is now priced $44,499 before on-road costswhile Extended Range is $47,499 before on-roads.

This is a $3,512 discount compared to comparable pre-update models.

Updated Atto 3 now available to order.

The external changes to the updated Atto 3 are minor and were previewed earlier this year on Japanese market model. The pattern trim around the D-pillar is now black instead of silver, as is the trim around the windows.

Atto 3 has also ditched the Atlas Batman tires in favor of Continental Eco Contact 6 tires.

Inside, the 12.3-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen has been replaced by a larger 15.6-inch screen.

Cars in gray and black now also have two-tone black and blue interiors, instead of the light gray and blue interiors found on cars in other colors.

Speaking of exterior colors, there are only four now. Ski White is standard, with new Boulder Gray, Surf Blue and Cosmos Black colors each costing an additional $700.

Last year’s Parkour Red and Forest Green are no longer available.

BYD also said they have added a new camping mode, allowing you to use the air conditioner when the car is turned off and the battery is over 20%.

The updated Atto 3 is mechanically unchanged, with a front-mounted 150kW/310Nm electric motor and a choice of 50.1kWh and 60.4kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries.
