It’s good that we’ve reviewed a truly incredible car for sale just to bask in its glory. Almost entirely by accident, I came across a beautiful singularity of two unlikely vehicles merging into one. This 1995 Toyota Previa V8 RV is somewhat silly, awesome, and the best I’ve seen for sale all week.
One of the The wonders of the Gambler 500 is what kind of weird vehicle you’ll see there. Take enough time at once and you’ll probably see a person in an eccentric dress riding a scootera possible error hardly calls herself Miata, or a feeder bus with a hot tub running on the dirt road. You’ll also see all sorts of vehicles riding on the frames of some other vehicle. That’s what you’re looking at with this beautiful artwork on Facebook.
The seller of this product begins the story by telling the buyer that this van was once a dream supercharged Toyota Previa. Before the car tried to cross a body of water, it placed a turbocharged Toyota 2TZ-FZE four in the middle. These trucks are loved by JDM enthusiasts for their futuristic space egg look, interior layout and if you can find one, manual transmission and all-wheel drive. They have also become cheap enough to be quirky off-road rigs for those participating in the Gambler 500 rallies.
It’s unclear where this truck ended up, but when it did, the seller didn’t seem ready to let this truck die right away. Luckily, a 32-foot RV has popped up for sale, and like anyone, sellers will see two cars combined into one. The RV lost its fuselage and the Previa lost its powertrain. Then the two are combined into one.
This Previa is even weirder than it was when it left the factory. It’s riding on the backbone of the RV now, which is a bit hilarious since that frame is made for much heavier work than carrying a pickup truck.
The seller rightly points out that any poor soul riding atop 16 spring leaves-A certain supported rear axle must respond to the title more than once.
And I’m willing to bet it won’t take long collide to launch them up there.
The highlight of the show was Ford’s massive 460-inch (7.5-liter) V8.
Following the engine trend Note, these engines powered motorcycles and other vehicles from 1968 to 1997. Since the exact year of the RV is not recorded, it is difficult to say what kind of power this thing is producing. However, these engines are said to make between 206 and 245 hp depending on the year and up to 410 lb-ft of torque.
That knocks the 158 HP and 201 lb-ft of the old Previa’s engine out of the water, but that power has to go through a three-speed automatic transmission before reaching the rear wheels.
The best part for me is that the heat is still working, as are “some” lights. So if you’re crazy enough to pull this off on a road trip, you can. Or, as the Gambler 500 decal on the back suggests, take it into a mud pit somewhere for hours of fun.
