Husqvarna’s new electric motorcycle, 2023 EE 3, follows in the footsteps of Husqvarna EE 5. First produced in 2020, the EE 5 is Husqvarna’s first step in the field of electric mobility, designed with a focus on competition and performance to rival 50cc petrol motorcycles. . The EE 5’s new sibling, the EE 3, has many of the same high-quality technology features but in a smaller and more manageable package for aspiring beginner riders.

The EE 3 and EE 5 serve as stepping stones for younger riders, allowing them to get comfortable on the bike without being overwhelmed. As an electric bike, there is no clutch or gearbox to master, simplifying the driving experience. Both bikes make no noise, making them ideal for riding in areas sensitive to acoustic emissions.

While the EE 5 produces a peak power of 5kW, which makes it competitive with gasoline-powered motorcycles, the EE 3 produces a less intimidating 3.8kW of peak power. The electric motors of both cars have a slim and compact design that fits very well into the frame. The EE 5’s 907Wh lithium-ion battery will run for two hours of general driving or 25 minutes of electric racing with a charge time of 70 minutes. Similarly, Husqvarna says the EE 3’s 648Wh lithium-ion battery will run for two hours of typical driving and 30 minutes of brisk driving with a charge time of 60 minutes. The charger can be plugged into any 110 or 230 volt outlet.
Both the EE 3 and EE 5 have adjustable seat heights, so young riders can adjust their seats as they grow up. With a seat height of 23.6 inches and the ability to lower the seat by 21.9 inches, the EE 3 will be more accessible to shorter riders than the EE 5, which measures 26.2 inches and has a can be lowered to 24.2 inches. The EE 3 has 10-inch wheels front and rear, while the EE 5 has 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels.
Both bikes have six different riding modes, so parents can adjust the power level depending on the rider and type of bike. A lock under the saddle allows parents to lock the ride mode so riders can’t switch to a more aggressive riding mode in the middle of their ride. For added safety, both cars have a roll sensor for instant power cuts and a wrist strap that cuts power in an uncontrollable situation.
