Released yesterday, the Honda WR-V 2023 will be sold in Malaysia in four variants, starting with the base 1.5LS (RM89,900), followed by the 1.5LE (RM95,900) and 1.5LV (RM99,900). The lineup is complemented by the top-of-the-line 1.5L RS version, priced at RM 107,900.

Earlier this week, Honda Malaysia said it received about 2,500 pre-orders for the brand’s smallest SUV up to the time of its introduction and during the launch said it was aiming to deliver 1,300 units of the A-segment/small B-segment offering per month.

All WR-V variants are powered by the same engine, in this case the 1.5 liter L15ZF L15ZF naturally aspirated DOHC i-VTEC engine delivering 121 hp at 6,600 rpm and maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. This mill is the same unit as in the City variant and the base HR-V S, and like in those models, is mated to a CVT transmission here.

Standard fitment on all variants includes two front USB ports, a multi-angle reversing camera, power-folding rearview mirrors and two rear parking sensors. Also common to all versions is a 7-inch Digital Audio touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and the automaker’s LaneWatch side camera system.

As for the kit, the entry-level S gets halogen headlights (no auto), black fabric seats, digital air conditioning, a two-speaker audio system and a MID display as part of the cluster. tools, among other things. It, along with the E and V grades, rides on 16-inch silver five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 215/60 Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance tires.

The top-of-the-line RS adds an extra set of exterior accessories like a variant-specific chrome checkered grille and switches to larger 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels shod with 215/55 Continental UC6 tires. Inside, the variant has a black roofline and red accent trim as well as red contrast stitching on the leather/fabric seats and steering wheel.

Other unique features of the RS are LED sequential turn signals, Honda Connect telematics system, paddle shifters, alloy pedals, red pointer for speedometer/tachometer ( white on other variants) and two auxiliary speakers to form a six-speaker sound system. setting.
