2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV offers in Redline Edition, while rest of Bolt EV line continues


For the second model year, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV 2023 gets a new Redline Edition, while the rest of the Bolt EV lineup remains unchanged.

The Redline Edition is the appearance package that Chevy has offered on some of its petrol models for several years now. The Bolt EUV Redline Edition features gloss black 17-inch wheels with red accents, black and red Bolt EUV badging on the rear door lids and red decals on the mirror caps. Available paint colors include Summit White, Metallic Mosaic Black and Flare Metallic Silver.

On the inside, the Redline Edition has black leather seats and red stitching, regardless of whether it’s paired with the LT or Premier trim levels. It’s usually part of an optional Convenience Pack on higher-tier Premier editions.

The Redline version is exclusive to the Bolt EUV, introduced alongside the refurbished Bolt EV for the 2022 model year. The EUV is basically a better EV Boltwith a little more space where it’s needed, along with the available Super Cruise.

Aside from the Bolt EUV Redline Edition and a new color option — Radiant Red Tintrobe — for both the EV and EUV, everything else will continue for the 2023 model year, a General Motors spokesperson confirmed. Green car report.

As a new version, both the Bolt EV and the Bolt EUV have a 200 hp electric motor, front-wheel drive and a 65 kWh battery pack. That gives an EPA range of 259 miles for the Bolt EV and 247 miles for the Bolt EUV.

Pricing for the 2023 model year will be confirmed closer to the start of production, but Chevrolet has taken it a bit affordability with refurbished 2022 models. The 2022 Bolt EV’s $31,995 base price (with destination) represents a $5,500 price cut over the 2021 model. The 2022 Bolt EUV starts at $33,995.

But then GM had to do a large battery recall, which resulted in replace battery module for many models 2017-2019. Almost half of the earlier models that were susceptible to that defect have been rectified, while the 2019-2022 vehicles have had the software remediation/diagnostic fix (and some replacements).

Production of EV and EUV bolts at GM’s Orion assembly plant in Orion Township, Michigan, was also halted for about six months due to the recall. It restarted on April 4according to GM.
