2023 BMW M2 spy shows off the front end design, less camo

It’s been over a year since we saw spy shots of the next generation BMW M2, and during that time BMW car removed some of the camouflage that concealed the two-door coupe’s secrets.

Big item to note with these spy photo is a good look at M2user interface. Similar to standard 230i and M240i, the M2 will likely receive a relatively normal sized kidney grille. It is still big, wide and long compared to M2 before, but these photos leave no doubt that the vertical kidney of M3 and M4 will not be translated to M2. Outside of the grille, that’s business as usual for an M car. A large slit in the lower bumper suggests more cooling, and the air intakes on the outside of said bumper will. there is more air going through. The BMW camo hides the final shape and sculpt of the bumper from our eyes, but it looks aggressive and sharp, like other new BMW designs today.

There’s not much new to see in these photos other than the front end styling, but BMW did give us small glimpses of the lights at the front and rear. We can see that they are production LED units, which shows that this prototype is quite far in development. If you don’t mind the above standard tails 2 Series, you probably won’t like these either, because they seem similar.

Finally, we will show the regular M-style quad exhaust that sticks out and is integrated into the rear bumper design. It’s a rather seductive look from the rear with wide rubber, flared fenders and neatly hidden rear bodywork.

Latest rumors indicates that the new M2 is a 2023 model year release. Power is rumor within 450 hp from BMW’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo six.
