Spies caught what appeared to be 2023 Audi A4 Related testing in bodywork production in Europe. Although still equipped with extensive camouflage, the prototype appears to have been developed relatively late and – surprisingly at this time of year – wears what appears to be a wheel and tire package. High performance.
That’s right, there’s no winter rubber or high ground clearance for this wagon (it looks compact on the surface), which is used low on a set of tires with some seemingly marked thin sidewalls, for found that the prototype was undergoing dynamic testing. This is our first look at A4 replacement, and we can see that the Avant seems to have inherited some of its front-end styling from bonders RS 6.
And while the RS 6 is sold outside, Audi was hesitant to offer any variant of the long-roof A4 here except All roads, which is taller than the standard Avant and has been deliberately tuned to be more SUV-like. Not like bigger A6 The Allroad, though, does have a fixed-height suspension that maximizes its day-to-day utility at the expense of handling, but it’s not so compromised that it’s impossible to rejoice. We expect that same basic formula to carry over to the next-generation A4, just with more electrified variants.
We’re calling it the 2023 model here, but we doubt it’ll be for Europe, like VW Corporation of America tends to lag the continent by about a model year when it comes to product lifecycles. Regardless, it won’t be too long until we see the production version hit the mark. Keep stable.
