Returning again this year is Mary Carillo, Hall-of-Fame television journalist, Olympics host and tennis commentator. She will report from the backstage bench area with features and interviews.
Any other kind of awards ceremony taking place on this year’s show?
This year’s Dog’s Best Friend award will go to world-renowned sculptor Susan Bahary, who is known for her works that show the relationship between animals and humans. Susan is spearheading the initiative to establish a National Service Animal Monument (NSAM) which is now moving towards congressional approval. The Philadelphia Kennel Club will donate $5,000 to this cause along with the prize.

We have a lot of entries in the top 20 and they will have great challenges in our breed competition, especially between French Bulldogs, British Toy Hounds, German Shepherds, Afghan Hounds, etc.

There are three new dog breeds that will be introduced to Thanksgiving Day viewers across the US on this year’s show. They are: Russian Toys, Mudi and Bracco Italiano.
