I’ve used Diamond brand. There is a pure water sticker on the bag. My Rottie is 12 years old. So I don’t think it has any bad things in it. Supposedly at 12, he didn’t look the same. But he’s still a little over 100 lb beast that’s never been fat.

I feed my rottweiler dog mix royal rottweiler puppy and purina pro plan large breed puppy and recently changed to purina pro plan large breed sensitive skin and stomach trout for mature adults. She will remain on the royal puppy until she is 18 months old. She prefers the royal dog. I also grill her fish every time I catch a successful day.

Everyone has an opinion on what to do. I’ve had 5 Rotties over the years. I just lost my beautiful nearly 7 year old Rottie to cancer, it’s gone as fast as in 3 months. Veterinarians think commercial dog food is partly to blame. There are too many preservatives in commercial foods. Read labels and decide for yourself, watch out for things like by-products and other vague terms that often mean supplements. What works for one dog may not always work for another, trust what you feed your dog. You know your dog better than anyone and trust yourself to do the right thing for them. My baby was healthy and didn’t even seem sick until the last day. He’s solid, healthy, and weighs 131 lbs. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Unrelated trademarks; All dogs will like different things. It is important that you use a large breed puppy food, you make sure it is not too high in protein. You feed 3 times a day and continue doing so until the puppy is 18 months old. Don’t take him too far or too fast; Their bones take time to grow and they need to grow slowly and carefully so that the joints fit together properly. After 18 months switch to 2 feedings a day with adult food and do not overfeed. A giant dog is not what you want; you want a healthy person!

Orijen It’s the best food I could find, it’s 85% whole prey. I switched from raw to this and my male loves it. I still give them a whole handful of chicken gizzards or chicken liver, it’s expensive but what do you pay.
