Kuttiyamma, a 104-year-old woman from the southern Indian state of Kerala, has always wanted to go to school.
But an early marriage and a life centered around family affairs put an end to that dream.
But her dream came true when she finally got the chance to join a government-sponsored literacy program.
At the age of 104, she learned to read and write – something she had wanted to do since she was a child.
And then she made headlines when she scored 89 out of 100 on the official test of literature.
