10 Things I Love on Sundays

It’s been a busy week for us! By the time we clear out the Easter candy, I’m starting to get ready for our beach trip this week in Florida and I’m excited.

We were supposed to do this trip with the whole family in April 2020, you can guess it got canceled a few times. So more than two years later, we’re looking forward to each other again! Some people aren’t beach people and that’s okay, but personally I would never get it.

And even though I don’t venture into the water too far because I’m a “something-just-to-touch my feet” cat, I do enjoy being on the beach with a glass of water. cooler and a magazine. Here’s another of my favorites this week!

mother, daughter and father in their house in pastel costumes

1. I wore a tie-dyed tuxedo for Easter this year and when I bought it last year, this is similar to the plus size options (and i love this too).

2. Fighting dry skin on my face is a daily thing, but use a Konjac sponge recently with my daily face wash has helped a lot. It’s a gentle exfoliator made with Konjac root and each lasts up to three months.

3. Speaking of dry skin, this Creamy moisturizer easy to take was a game changer for my feet. I started developing some eczema on my always dry feet this winter, and my dermatologist suggested it as a daily moisturizer, and it helped a lot. .

Surname There’s also a lotion, but the cream is thicker if you need more moisture. Really wish I had found it years ago!

4. Okay this cheap straw cover for the beach/pool this summer! I’m not really a big sun hat person, and I love the fact that I can pull my hair up in a high bun and still shade my face with the visor shape. And it has a small strap so you can roll it up and toss it in your suitcase or beach bag!

5. Kind of random, but I keep this pack opener that Todd put me in our entrance because we get a lot of packages between work life and work.

It has a ceramic blade that is not sharp to the touch, but cuts very well through tape/cardboard and the blade automatically retracts into the handle. Great if you have to open and tear a lot of boxes to recycle. Have a mini version too.

6. Trying to redecorate the old pavilion we have in the yard and this chair would be so cute out there!

7. I’m pretty bad at sleeping with my face on the pillow (side sleeper) and now that I’m 36, those lines don’t completely go away as the day goes on, so I have one of those these pillows.

This comes with a soft pillowcase and I have noticed a big difference when I wake up in the morning. The lines near my nose and eyes are much more blurred than they used to be.

It’s made with memory foam pads that you can add/remove from the three areas of the pillow for the perfect fullness and has a “c” shape on both sides of the pillow to support your chin and head. , leave the middle of your face. open so it won’t be smashed.

Elsie swears by this Beauty Bear pillow to train you to sleep on your back, but it was a bit too firm for me and I turned my body sideways, so it didn’t work when only one side was in a “c” shape.

8. I have this carpet for my kitchen and I like that it’s neutral but still has a fun star/constellation pattern that goes with the star and slash that I chose for the backlash.

9. Take This book to the beach this week. I don’t think any author makes me laugh more than David Sedaris, and he’s just my favorite.

10. Perfection Coffee mugs for spring. And summer. Wow – year round.

Can you believe that my baby Lola will turn 5 years old in a few weeks?? I’ve been too busy to think about it too much, but I can say that when it starts this year, I’ll be a mess.

She wants a Garfield party and I’ll try and make her this cake. Think I can do it? She might like this DIY polka dot cake, too. so so. Laura

PS This was last week 10 things Sunday In case you lost it!
