Maverick McNealy is also among the 28-1s’ top picks, but McDonald’s doesn’t think he should be, and the pundit is dimming the 26-year-old. McNealy has three consecutive top 20 finishes, and while he’s 21st on the tour in terms of points average, he’s just 17 games behind in the past two tournaments. He’s got five rounds of 69 or higher, and he’ll need to go a lot lower to win this course. McNealy also has a tendency to go crazy, which leads to trouble in El Camaleon.
