AFC has 12 teams with a record of .500 or more and 10 with a total winning record. Incredibly, four of those 10 teams are from the AFC North, and that makes the league one of the most unpredictable in the NFL.
This week’s “Sunday Night Football” match will feature the first place team in the Northern region of AFC and the team that is at the bottom of the table. That means one of two things. The top team will win and create some more division in the group stage, or the bottom team will win and continue to cause chaos.
And, well, they can tie, but let’s not think about how crazy things can happen if that happens.
The Browns will be the away team in this game and they are the last team in the table. Cleveland was once considered a trendy Super Bowl pick, but its offense wasn’t as explosive as some hoped. The team averages just 205.6 yards of passes per game, eighth best in the NFL, so Kevin Stefanski may need to start that up again this week.
Raven is the first and home team in this match. They won with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley playing in place of Lamar Jackson last week, and while they’ve had their ups and downs, they’ve been on the attack. The Browns’ defense will be a good test for them, but if Jackson is healthy, Baltimore will almost certainly be in favor.

The Browns (6-5) will head to Baltimore to face Raven (7-3) in a game that could turn the balance in a closely held AFC North race.
Cleveland is over ,500, but they’re currently last in the table. The Ravens are in first place, and a win over Cleveland would create a two-and-a-half game between the Baltimores and the Browns. It will also help them continue to challenge other top AFC teams such as the Patriots, Titans and Chiefs as each vie for the tournament’s No.
Raven will probably bring Lamar Jackson back to this game. Jackson missed Week 11 due to a non-COVID illness, so Tyler Huntley had to start at quarterback. Huntley attempted to lead Raven to victory, but the offense largely struggled throughout the competition. It will be better under Jackson’s watch.
As for the Browns, their offense is also disturbing. Baker Mayfield were very good guys, so the team wasn’t able to make a lot of passes. Jarvis Landry is also a bit daring, so if the Browns are going to compete with Jackson and Raven, their running game, which features Nick Chubb and D’Ernest Johnson, will have to do most of the work in the competition.
Raven has won three games in a row against the Browns and has an 8-2 record against the same division since 2016.
