You might think that starring in “Queen Charlotte” would be a reason to pop champagne, but Mylchreest celebrated in a more modest way. Speaking to Liv Marks, he explained how he was with his girlfriend when he received the call, but since the decision had been made in LA, it was midnight in the UK.
“I was already asleep… I didn’t want to wake her housemate, so I put on my robe in the hallway and I remember saying ‘look, anything can happen, you don’t. maybe, don’t ‘Don’t feel sorry for me, don’t pity me, I don’t want any of that, probably won’t work out’,” he said. “And then I turned around and I was like ‘oh my god, I don’t know what the hell just happened. And then I was shocked and she was like ‘you have to do something to celebrate’ and the only place to be. The local Snooker Club opened its doors. So we went and played snooker.”
