DJI Air 3 versus Mini 3 Pro versus Mavic 3 Pro versus Mavic 3 Classic. It is all a bit much now, isn’t it? Just like Sony, DJI is constantly releasing updated versions of their products, at varying price points, and with different sets of features, so it is tough to know which one to get. In this video, Kai looks at the four latest drones from DJI and breaks down what might be best for you.
There is no doubt in my mind that the drones available from DJI are the best out there for consumers and prosumers. They have something for everyone and every price range, but it is getting confusing with so many options available now, especially when all of their current iterations end in the number 3!
In this video from Kaiman Wong, he pits the DJI Air 3 against the DJI Mini 3 Pro, DJI Mavic 3 Pro, and finally the DJI Mavic 3 Classic. In terms of image quality, there is not a great deal of separation between the four drones during the daytime. The different sensor sizes of the drones will make a difference, of course, for low light photography and videography, but that is not something tested in this video.
The video shows various tests in regards to tracking a moving car, with the Air outperforming the other drones. The Air was able to track the car pretty well. However, it lost the car under cover of trees. However, the other drones failed quite miserably picking up a moving car, with one drone even opting to start a tutorial constantly.
In summary, the Air 3 offers a fine balance with updated features and the option of using two lenses compared to one or three on the other drones. The Air 3 sits at a good price point and is certainly one to consider.
