Maserati is preparing to launch its first electric cars in Australia in the first quarter of 2025.
The electric version of Grecale SUV, GranTurismo coupe, and GranCabrio all have convertibles coming to our shores, with the first customer cars arriving in the first quarter of 2025.
The first electric Maseratis to hit showrooms will be the GranTurismo Folgore and Grecale Folgore.

Demonstrators will be here before the end of 2024, but the first customer cars will hit the roads in January 2025, according to Maserati Australia chief executive Grant Barling.
The GranCabrio Folgore is expected to ship around March or April 2025.
Driven by three 300kW permanent magnet electric motors – one at the front and two at the rear – the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Folgore produce a combined maximum power of 610kW and maximum torque of 1350Nm.
This is well above the 410kW and 650Nm on offer in the most powerful GranTurismo with a V6 engine, the Trofeo.
The Grecale Folgore gets 410kW and 820Nm from its dual-motor powertrain, up on the 390kW and 620Nm offered in the V6-powered Grecale Trofeo petrol.
Don’t be fooled, though – Maserati isn’t giving up on petrol power in Australia.
Mr. Barling pledged to sell mild-hybrid and V6 versions of the Grecale alongside the Folgore, unlike Porsche which is phasing out the gasoline Macan in favor of an electric alternative.
“At the moment we have the Mild-Hybrid, we have the GT and the Modena but we also have the Mild-Hybrid and we also have the V6,” he said. Car expert.
“Customers can choose whether they want a mild hybrid, a V6 or a Folgore… let’s see how the market changes, what the customer needs are.”
It’s a similar story with GranTurismo; Maserati will not force electric car buyers but will instead let demand determine supply.
The first petrol-powered GranTurismo models will arrive in local showrooms around September 2024, followed by the GranCabrio before the end of 2024.
