While I certainly haven’t tried every camera ever made, I’ve been fortunate enough to try out many of them, and by far my favorite is the Canon’s 1D Series. The 1D camera has a very ergonomic design that fits comfortably in your hand and the near-ideal control position you can get, at least in my opinion, plus a vertical grip exactly duplicate all the important controls. Add in unique textured materials and they are simply a joy to use. I especially like them because I have exceptionally long fingers and I often have to hold the smaller camera with my fingertips and tuck my little finger underneath, which isn’t particularly comfortable or stable.
