He may be at training camp for a rematch with Anthony Joshua, but unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk will use Saturday’s fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte as a good reason to do some research.
The WBA, IBF and WBO belt holder could face the winner this weekend in an undisputed heavyweight bout later in the year if he beats Joshua for the second time. And Fury is the favorite to successfully defend his belt against Whyte at Wembley Stadium this weekend.
“Definitely yes [we will be watching the fight],’ Alexander Krassyuk, Usyk’s promoter, told Sky Sports.
“Egis Klimas [Usyk’s manager] and I myself plan to attend the event and watch it from ringside.
“At Usyk’s training camp, he would watch and study the battle on TV.”
