More and more international volunteers are joining Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines.
The UK government has warned people against going where there is conflict; but BBC reporter Emma Vardy spoke to participants in the conflict, including a former British Army soldier from Belfast.
She had special access to Ukraine’s international corps of foreign fighters, which said they noticed a large number of people wanting to join them, in the wake of recent Russian attacks.
