The final professional tournament of this thrilling 2023 golf season took place on Thursday with the Open Championship completing its 100th anniversary as it officially moved into the 151st game of the R&A’s famed tournament. Royal Liverpool hosted the event for the first time in nine years as Claret Jug returned to Hoylake, England, for the 13th time overall with a pitch already loaded ready for scrap for a chance to lift it on Sunday.
