“This is a message for Derek Chisora,” WBC and online heavyweight champion Tyson Fury said in a video that appeared on social media Friday morning. “I just saw that you said you thought AJ would beat me.” Fury here alludes to former rival Chisora’s recent assertion that he “will go with AJ (Anthony Joshua) to defeat Fury. AJ’s punch power is unbelievable.” Fury, who has defeated Chisora twice, makes it clear in the video that he’s not buying back his old enemy’s way of thinking. “
“Never in a million years,” Fury said in response to Chisora’s comment, “If the greatest boxer in history can’t knock me down, and Wladimir Klitschko can’t knock me down, then a mover The old bodybuilder couldn’t beat me. out, my friend. Fury won the majority of heavyweight titles against Klitschko in a disappointing 2015. Fury is probably referring to the thunderous blow to Deontay Wilder, whom he has beaten twice, as he says in the clip about “the biggest puncher in history”.
“He doesn’t have a bottle of wine to fight Usyk anymore,” Fury continued, though it’s unclear if he was referring to Chisora or Joshua, as both of them lost to Usyk by decision. “Usyk will smack him right next time,” Fury added. “Never mind about beating him in points, he’ll knock him down.” Needless to say, Joshua is on track to face Usyk for a second time in hopes of regaining the title he lost to the Ukrainian, while Chisora was seen losing for the second time. Joseph Parker last December. With that in mind, Chisora was considered a respected veteran who went up against someone with top talent. In 2012, he tried unsuccessfully to win the WBC belt from Vitali Klitschko.
As for Fury, he is on the upswing after winning his third bout against Wilder last fall. The first match between the two men ended in a draw in 2018, while the 2020 rematch saw Wilder’s corner kick in Saturday’s game. The third and final battle saw Fury take down Wilder in a match that can only be described as an instant classic that saw both men fight repeatedly.
“But listen,” Fury says in the clip, “just a man like me, there’s only one man on these shores called the Gypsy King, aka Tyson Fury.”
