Two children die after city bus crashes into kindergarten


A horrifying situation happened when a city bus crashed into a daycare center and two children were killed after that tragedy.

The challenge took place Wednesday morning in Laval, Quebec, a Canadian city about an hour from Montreal.

Based on CBC News, a bus linked to the city’s public transport system crashed into the daycare center around 8:30 a.m. As a result, two children died. In addition, six children were injured and treated at nearby hospitals, although they are said to be in stable condition.

Witness believes crime was intentional, driver says ‘in another world’

A witness named Hamdi Ben Chaabane lives near the crime scene, and he estimates that the bus was traveling at about 20 miles per hour when it hit the nursery.

Notably, he shared: “From what I see, it was not an accident.”

The witness also spoke about how stupid the driver started acting after the collision.

“He opened the door. He took off his clothes. He was completely naked. We don’t know why he did that. We rushed at him. We tried to subdue him.

Ben Chaabane went on to describe the driver as being “in another world”, noting that the whole experience “was a nightmare”.

“It was a nightmare. It was horrible. He couldn’t stop screaming. He couldn’t speak.”

The driver worked with the city for 10 years before the kindergarten incident

Stéphane Boyer, mayor of Laval, noted that the driver – identified as Pierre Ny St-Amand – had worked for the city’s transport department for 10 years. She also noted that the investigation is ongoing.

“There is a theory that this was a deliberate act but it will have to be confirmed by the investigation.”

The suspect has been charged with first degree murder

Currently, Pierre Ny St-Amand is said to be charged with two counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
