The all-new Toyota Vios 2023 has officially launched in Indonesia, becoming the third ASEAN country and the second right-hand drive country for it to be on the market, after Thailand and Laos.
Based on the all-new DNGA platform, the Vios 2023 has a length of 4,410 mm, a width of 1,740 mm and a height of 1,480 mm with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.
Unlike Thailand (where it’s called Yaris Ativ) which has a 1.2-litre 3NR-VE engine, the Vios in the Indonesian market is powered by a 1.5-litre 2NR-VE 4-cylinder engine, the Similar is found in Myvi and Alza. The 1.5 liter Dual VVT-i engine produces 104.6 hp at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm.
It is available under 3 variants in Indonesia – Toyota Vios 1.5 E with 5-speed manual transmission or two CVT continuously variable automatic options – Vios 1.5 G and Vios 1.5 G TSS.
As you know, the TSS in the top 1.5 G TSS variant stands for Toyota Safety Sense, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and Braking (AEB), Forward Departure Warning, Warning Land Departure Warning & Prevention, Pedal Misoperation Control, Auto Beam and Brake Assist.
The base manual variant uses 16-inch wheels (195/60R16 tyres), drum rear brake, reverse sensor only, and manual parking brake. G and G TSS are upgraded to 17-inch wheels (205/50R17 tyres), disc brakes on all four wheels, electronic parking brake and the addition of front parking sensors.
Toyota Vios 2023 in Indonesia market has 5 color options – Attitude Black, ME Gray, Metal Stream ME, Pearl Platinum and MM Red.
