Hello, Wanderers, or should I say Authorizers? Welcome back! I’m SKY, lead designer at Perfect World Games’ Hotta Studio, and I’m very excited to share some exciting news with you. Tower of Fantasy version 4.0, Gesthos Sector, is coming soon, scheduled for release on May 28.
In this upcoming update, we’re introducing an all-new breathtaking urban open world, all with futuristic charm and technological wonders. Version 4.0 also brings a diverse cast of new companions, each with their own compelling stories and unique abilities.
We have also prepared a series of events. After the version is released, participating in events can receive up to 188 draws, 1000 Dark Crystals. We look forward to your participation!
Gesthos field
After experiencing the adventures of Domain 9, I believe you are familiar with Gesthos—the supercomputer located in Hykros headquarters. It recently went offline due to a virus intrusion, potentially causing a serious Omnium crisis. To find the system-threatening virus, you will become a Proxy, uploading your consciousness to a virtual world it calculates—the Gesthos Cyberworld.
Picture this: a kingdom meticulously crafted by Gesthos, reflecting all the glory of Aida’s pre-Cataclysmic age. Here, Omnium technology reigns supreme, creating a prosperous technological revolution in a context of unprecedented prosperity.
A friendly tip: once version 4.0 is released, newcomers won’t need to complete the previous chapters and you’ll be allowed to go straight to the newest wonder—the Gesthos Zone!
And your first stop upon arrival is Aesperia.
See towering buildings decorated with shimmering holographic billboards, while a symphony of airplanes dance across the blue sky. Embark on an urban ride along the gravity rails, indulge in tranquil holidays along the sunny shores of Astra…enjoy the seamless combination of technological marvels and stunning beauty of nature. And for those with a penchant for exploration, you can also delve deeper into this world through exploration missions and puzzle gameplay.
An officer and a phantom thief
In your journey to tackle the viral threat, you’ll find yourself caught up in complex power struggles between Aesperia’s factions. But fear not, because new friends are always ready to support you in your endeavors.
Meet Roslyn, a new recruit to the Federal Police. With a combination of dedication and charm, she tirelessly pursues justice while helping those in need. Recently, it seems she was demoted to junior officer due to a failed mission.
While designing the character, our focus was to capture her serene yet contemplative atmosphere. Picture her lost in thought, lazily toying with her handcuffs—a subtle charm that is sure to easily captivate hearts. Her love for cats is unmistakable, a trait that is reflected in her designs. Roslyn uses “Calm Waters”, a weapon crafted from her grandfather’s ship anchor. With icy/electric properties, it is a testament to her maritime heritage.
Capturing the unique characteristics of a ship’s anchor, we have conveyed combat dynamics with complex interactive features. Designed for mid-range engagements, Calm Waters prioritizes agility and flexibility on the battlefield. So we tested allowing Roslyn to throw the anchor to create different attack angles, using acceleration to increase damage.
When training her skills, we take advantage of the anchor chain, using its double-ended design to unleash a series of attacks. The dynamic interaction between the large mass of the anchor and the short blade creates a mesmerizing ballet of chaos — an elegant spectacle in the midst of battle.
And then there’s the mysterious figure of Ace, the elusive thief who’s the focus of Roslyn’s relentless pursuit. Did you notice the baseball bat she was holding? Ace names it “Poppin’ Stick”, a powerful offensive weapon. Despite her status as a top thief, Ace harbors a genuine desire to maintain fairness and justice through her actions, a paradox that adds depth to her character. In fact, she went so far as to gather a group of like-minded people, forming the famous ghost thief organization called “Wednesday.”
But here’s where things get really interesting. Beyond the surface-level cat-and-mouse chase lies the deep connection between Ace and Roslyn—a relationship shrouded in secrecy and ripe with untold history.
Additionally, following the launch of version 4.0, the extremely popular simulacrum, Lan, will join the select SSR weapon pool for free!
Upload the adventure again
When you start using version 4.0, you’ll have access to the exclusive Delegate Terminal—an indispensable tool that not only facilitates seamless exploration of territories new but also improve the accuracy of map data. Boasting a wealth of practical features, including SMS communication, an Uber-inspired transportation app, and music streaming, this device is your key to a world of convenience.
But that’s not all. By seamlessly integrating the world setting with the main missions, we have also designed a new open-world gameplay. From repairing port towers to tracking down escaped robots and crafting stone sculptures, interactive activities are scattered across the map, giving the Commissioner a wealth of rich experiences.
However, in this technological age, be ready to face a series of challenges posed by smart machines. From the vigilant patrol Droid to the formidable Formation Point Sphere α: Experimental Type, each presents a unique threat, requiring careful strategy and skillful navigation.
We have also prepared many different activities. By participating in login and version-specific events, you can get up to 188 draws, 1000 Black Crystals. But that’s not all—prepare to be fascinated by our newest addition: the free dandelion medium, Fluffy. Loaded with natural charm, this exotic mode of transportation promises to enhance your adventure with its mesmerizing presence.
