Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur will return on 8-10 November 2024 at MITEC; Early bird tickets are now on sale online

Here’s some good news for custom car fans. Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur (TAS KL) is set to return for its second year from 8 to 10 November 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC), tickets on sale now available for purchase.

Modeled after the famous Tokyo Auto Salon held annually in Japan, TAS KL last year has a total floor area of 130,000 square feet and attracts more than 91,000 visitors. In addition to the exhibitors, visitors will also enjoy a car styling competition and a fleet of specially modified cars imported from Japan by famous tuners such as Top Secret, Spoon, HKS and GReddy, along with many other companies.

This year’s TAS KL will have an even larger floor area of up to 170,000 square feet and will be organized by Element X Strategies as the sole official licensee and MUSE Group Asia as co-host. Organized and coordinated with San Ei Group – owner of the intellectual property Tokyo Auto Salon and the Tokyo Auto Salon Federation.

“This year’s Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur promises to be an extremely exciting experience, bigger and more engaging for visitors and exhibitors. Like the original exhibition in Japan, we have put great effort into ensuring that this year’s exhibitions continue to meet the expectations of our fans,” said Jason Yap, director and CEO of Element X Strategies said.

Meanwhile, Riduwan Matni, CEO of MUSE Group Asia, revealed that Japanese tuners and exhibitors present at TAS KL last year were surprised by the reaction of Malaysian fans to the event and vowed to return even more spectacularly this year.

“With select goods and components suddenly selling out on the first day, they had to take pre-orders. In some ways, this is a good problem to have but they have assured us that they will definitely be better prepared for Malaysia this year,” Riduwan said.

General tickets are priced at RM50 per day for early birds, RM60 per day on the day of the event and RM120 for three-day tickets. Tickets for children aged 6 to 12 years old are priced at RM25 per day (early bird) or RM30 per day (event day) and RM60 for a three-day ticket. Free admission for children under six years old.

All disabled people (including carers if required) also receive a 50% discount on tickets. This year TAS KL will also introduce Express Lane tickets priced at RM70 per day for early bird bookers and RM80 per day on the day of the event. There is also a VIP ticket worth RM150 per day, which includes free access to the VIP lounge. For those who want the most exclusive experience, special Black Card access is available for RM1,500 and comes with a number of perks.
