I’ve seen Titan quest has been described as the best Diablo 2 variety available, and I’ve seen it praised for its colorful environments when its rivals (including Diablo 2) are gray or brown. Well, now there are many more Titan Quests. The Eternal Embers expansion is out now, with Asian inspired locations and loads of new stuff to hack and slash.
The expansion features four new actions, with a story inspired by Asian mythology. There are also more than 30 new enemies and bosses, and an 11th skill, through which you can become a deadly alchemist. More things to kill and more ways to kill them; hack and slash things, like I said.
Oddly enough, it only seems to be playable on Legendary difficulty, the hardest of Titan Quest’s three settings. I assume most people interested in the Titan Quest expansion have played a lot of Titan Quest already, so maybe that shouldn’t be an issue.
There are also other cool features beyond the new content, including gamepad support, improved performance, and rendering. The editor has also seen a bunch of new features and tweaks to the UI, if you’d like to tweak it.
You can get Eternal Embers from Steam for £16.19 / €18. It requires Titan Quest Anniversary Edition to play, which will cost you £18 / another €20.
