Unlike other skin products, color correction products are not selected based on your skin tone at all. Instead, a color corrector is selected based on the tone you are trying to remove. “The color corrector is designed beyond the color wheel and complementary colors. Complementary colors cancel each other out,” says Kelsey Deenihan, celebrity makeup artist and BareMinerals ambassador.
Duyos has a quick summary for color correction. “For blue or gray tones like dark circles under the eyes or gray to brown patches on the skin, try using peach for light to medium skin tones or an orange correction cream,” he says. for dark skin tones. “For acne-prone skin, textured rosacea, dermatitis, or excessive redness, try using a green or olive correcting cream.
