The ultra-bright color trend that will define fall

Like clockwork, a few colors always emerge from the back of our closets when the temperatures start to drop. Black! Brown! Beige! They’re all fashion’s unofficial welcoming committee for fall. But beyond the more obvious shades, there’s the occasional other colors can grab our attention. Recently, some colors have taken the runway by storm including cow blood, grey doveand even olive green—all of which, ironically, could be considered fall neutrals. These color trends aren’t groundbreaking, per se. But for some fashionistas, the mere notion of choosing an outfit that isn’t black, brown, or beige can be, well, earth shaking Considering that we’ve seen so much discussion surrounding alternatives to black, it was only a matter of time before one color made its way back into the conversation: navy blue.

In an effort to prove that it really is, dare I say, the “new” black, I’ve laid out a bunch of evidence that this particular shade has permeated the Fall/Winter 24 collections. Ahead, you’ll find a few example of style Check out this color trend from the runways and round up the best navy outfits for fall from Nordstrom, H&M, Aritzia, J.Crew, and more. Fair warning: this story might make you want to stop wearing all black. Proceed with caution.
