The scoop on Jenn Tran’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’



It’s only been about two and a half months since Joey Graziadei’s dramatic season ended. Bachelor, where Daisy Kent and Kelsey Anderson team up to face the final rose. And although the runner-up usually steps up to claim the crown for the following season, Daisy Kent declined, citing her focus on her health.

Enter Jenn Tran: 26 years old, Miami native, newbie single person star is the first Asian American woman to star on the show. “I will lead my own love story,” she said on stage after the announcement. It gives energy to the main character and we are here for it.

Meeting day

The season premieres on Monday, July 8 at 8pm EST. While all 28 contestants have been made public ABC, you’ll have to wait until July to see them compete for that first impression rose. As expected, former NFL star Jesse Palmer (who replaced Chris Harrison in 2021) will return to host the show.

Season 21 will not be filmed at the Bachelor mansion.

This is perhaps the biggest plot change of the season: for the first time, the show will Are not was filmed at legendary Bachelor villa. Tran and her contestants will kick off the season at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, an area just north of Los Angeles. The jet installation will begin immediately after the first episode. As mentioned, Tran wasn’t just looking for love – she was also making history. Single person star was raised in Florida by Vietnamese parents who first immigrated to New Jersey, where she was born. In an Instagram post made in collaboration with National BachelorTran shared that her parents came to the United States “with practically nothing in their pockets.”

Growing up, Tran didn’t meet people who looked like him on screen; Now, she’s working to change that.

“For me, Asian representation growing up was really scarce, and I didn’t see many people who looked like me on TV,” she said. “It was really hard for me to find where I belonged and who I could resonate with. So, to be here today, in this position, and to be able to inspire so many people – I’m so grateful.”
