The perfect ending point for raising runes in the Elden Ring

Look for it if you are indoors or looking for bulk before New Game +

Is it necessary? grind in Elden Ring? To go out of your way to attack the same half mind again and again? Not really. But that won’t stop us!

I was hesitant to spot any rune farming spots until the dust had settled. For the most part of the game, the best advice is to explore to your heart’s content and face any threats that arise – look for those ‘n’ cave catacombs and play naturally . But the community found The Spot to raise runes, at least when it comes to the finale in Elden Ring. It is even good enough to guarantee the recovery time for maximum profit.

You may feel the need to farm runes in Elden Ring towards the end, especially when it comes to the main story’s handful of final bosses and a certain optional war. And, great, sometimes it’s nice to vent your frustrations over a random forage before trying to pierce a dreaded brick wall that shows no signs of cracking.

Given the game’s open structure (and the potential to hit areas more or less “out of order”), what qualifies as the endgame can vary from person to person. That’s why I really like this spot to raise runes, so much so that I have to share it. It’s hidden away and in fact it was literally the last location I found Elden Ring – even after I finished the story. It was a strange place, filled with enemies that were difficult to hit in large groups.

If you feel in your gut as if it’s about to end Elden RingThis guide is for you.

** Spoilers below **

Palace of Mohgwyn
Mohgwyn Palace is the scariest part of the Elden Ring.

So the location mentioned is Palace of Mohgwyn. It’s a great way to pass level 150.

This area is hell – even more so than Caelid. When Elden RingThe rotten southeast is ominous, the bloody Mohgwyn Palace goes further. It’s like a real cursed place you don’t want to see. However, funny enough, it was ripe for rune farming.

There are many ways to get to Mohgwyn Palace, but the easiest way – at least for me – is to ride a random teleporter in a faraway land. That’s the way in Elden Ring.

The first path to Mohgwyn Palace is an NPC quest

That’s creepy Masked NPC at the top Elden Ring, right in front of the Tree Sentinel boss, can take you to Mohgwyn Palace. By chatting with him, defeat Godrick, chat further and search for him at Rose Churchyou will be able to infiltrate the player to finally get Purebred Knight Orderit’s your ticket to Mohgwyn Palace.

There are quite a few steps, so here’s a quick demonstration from Gamer Guru:

If you manage come here soonbecause White-faced Varrequest line question (I only finished half way), more power to you; he seems too sketchy in that Dark souls “Wait why are all my NPCs suddenly dead?” somehow. The grace site you’ve been looking for – Sidewalk Access Palace – is a busy ride away. If you can get up the hillside, you are golden. I have an exact screenshot of this grace site.

The best rune farming strategy for Elden Ring involves a group of nearby enemies who mostly just sit around – but there is an alternative method to lower level characters at Mohgwyn Palace in connection with Sniper a monstrous crow. The fuel-nightmare creature doesn’t stop coming near, but if you hit it with an arrow, it will run off the cliff and die.

I haven’t fully tested this method myself, but at least I wanted to mention it, in case you progress in Elden Ring happens to match it. For me, and anyone who has finished and/or skipped the Varré quest, this is the way, as well as a ridiculous farming setup.

Reach Mohgwyn Palace afterwards by teleporter

Where to find the teleporter to Mohgwyn Palace.
The teleporter is located on the west side of the Consecrated Snow Field.

I’ve marked the location of the teleporter to Mohgwyn Palace in the screenshot above with a red circle – it’s directly west of The snow field inside is consecrated site of grace.

You may not recognize this part of the map and if so, you will need to explore it the hard way. For a long time, there seemed to be a sneaky path down into this area from above Peak of Giants (part of the main story’s key path) using a carefully planned double jumper. Is not! Instead, to access Consecrated Snow Fieldyou will need to take the elevator (Grand Lift of Rold) using an obscure pair of items: the two halves of the Halitree Secret Medallion. One was found in a village in Liurnia; the other comes from a boss at Castle Sol on the snowy peaks of the Giants.

Once you locate the teleporter (picture below), it may not be active yet. To hitchhike to Mohgwyn Palace, you need to take down a red ghost who is snooping in the area.

After activating the teleport, you will materialize in a cave. (I hope you have a lantern!)

From there, you will step out, and see a place full of grace in the distance – this is our goal. It may seem far-fetched, but you can summon a Torrent and run right to it. The hard part is over.

The site of grace is called Sidewalk Access Palace. Here is the aerial map view:

Runes cultivated in Elden Ringthe game ends

It’s important to reiterate, before I go into any optimization, that this area is ideal for running runes in general. A few feet from this place of grace, there are about a dozen enemies, some of which are passive until attacked. It’s a bad idea to fight them all at once, but even if you’re trying to find runes that kill them one by one, the payoffs are huge.

In an ideal scenario, you would use one of many Effect area skill (or ranged spells) in Elden Ring to safely destroy these wheels Albinaurics all in one. Warp back, reset and repeat. This rune farming spot is *really awesome* with an end game setup.

Wave of Gold is goodness

Creepy albinaurics are the perfect fodder for runes in the Elden Ring
Albinaurics are ready to be farmed.

Sweet sauce – and here’s the part I have to make for the time being revive my character (no regrets, cause it’s worth it) – is to use an AoE skill to take down all enemies at once. There are different options thanks to being able to customize Ashes of War.

I personally took notes from a video on YouTube I ran into Paul Gilbert – I used the soul of the final boss (aka “Nostalgia”) to create Sacred Sword. (Photo spoiler.)

The request of the Sacred Relic Sword

This weapon requires 14 Strength, 24 Dexterity and 22 Faith, and Wave of Gold skill shoot out “a wide, golden wave” only keep going and go. I reworked my stats to be able to use it, then used my stockpile of Somber Smithing Stones to completely upgrade it, and went to town on these gray boys. I only hit L2 once, and the action was taken.

If the idea of taking a few steps, pressing a button, going back and doing it a few more times to level up sounds appealing to you, then Mohgwyn Palace is well worth finding.

I wish I had known about this late game rune farm before fighting a certain duo, but it helped me conquer the hardest (optional) fight of my life. Elden Ring, so I can’t complain. It’s great for stocking up on boss armor, forging stones, and other items before New Game+.

Here’s another demonstration from Distortion2. The YouTube comments also offer suggestions for other AoE methods that might help if you’re looking to farm runes before defeating the final boss and securing the Sacred Relic Sword. Experiment a little!

Yes, we are talking about 40 thousand runes with little effort in seconds.

The last two notes on rune farming

In general, any rune farm you will do in Elden Ring can benefit from Golden Crabit is an amulet found in a Abandoned cave in Caelid. It’s a bewildering place that’s hard to run through, but well worth a glance at the red rot.

If you like crafting items and everything that entails, it’s well worth it Reserve on a consumable item called Set of chicken feet soaked in gold to further enhance your rune farming.

You can do one or the other, or both for maximum effect – they stacked on top of each other.
