The Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept returns to the brand’s roots

For a brand associated with off-road capabilities, there’s something a little unusual Jeep car The first all-electric product will be a high-performance, street-oriented model Wagoneer S launch version. According to Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep North America, that’s mainly because that model was developed and planned a bit ahead of the upcoming Jeep Recon. But at driver S reveal, Jeep also showed they are still interested in off-roading with the Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept, which seems much more classic than the Jeep.

It’s largely identical to the Wagoneer S we know today, although no technical specifications were given. It’s entirely possible that it’s not as powerful or equipped with lavish convenience technology as the Launch Edition. This is evident in the lack of an infotainment screen for passengers inside. But what it may lack in outright power and amenities it makes up for in rough-terrain practicality.

It has an additional 3 inches of ground clearance, increasing it to 9.4 compared to the Launch Edition. This is partly due to the suspension lift being 2 inches and another inch from 31.5 inches. all-terrain tires equiped. These tires are mounted to 18-inch multi-piece wheels that, while lacking bead-locking capability, do have an additional lip on the rim to help keep the bead from coming loose when tire pressure is low.

Approach and departure angles are improved with steeper front and rear bumpers, and the Selec-Terrain traction system adds a “Rock” mode that the Launch Edition lacks. It looks more aggressive with scratch-resistant black plastic trim along the fenders, bumpers and rocker panels as well as a bright red-orange color. drag fancy hooks and aluminum roof rack. The badging is flat, clear just to look good, and the hood has a matte black anti-glare decal. It even gets “Desert Rated” badges on the sides like jeep gladiator Mojave, shows that Jeep has some confidence in the Wagoneer S Trailhawk not only for its off-road capabilities but also its ability to quickly traverse desert terrain.

The interior also has a change in topography. We already mentioned that it lacks the Launch Edition’s number of screens, and the main reason is the addition of a large grab bar in front of the passenger. This one also has threaded inserts that allow the owner to attach a variety of devices. There is also an additional handle on the center console. Mantis blue faux leather interior color with ultraviolet purple contrast stitching. However, that’s not the wildest part. It also features granite decoration, chosen for its resemblance to meteorite fragments. And in the door there are storage straps that can be moved and reconfigured as needed to handle whatever gear you want. Ralph Gilles, Stellantis design director, notes that these belts will soon appear on other Jeep models in the future.

As for the Trailhawk, Jeep didn’t say for sure whether it will go into production or not. It seems like the brand is looking for feedback on it and whether people will buy it or not. To us, it’s even more of what we imagined a Jeep to be and a hot-rodeo for those with active lifestyles. We can say this will be a boost for Jeep. We also love that green interior.
