The Basso family of Rockaway, New Jersey captured footage of a family of black bears cooling off in their backyard pool on a hot summer morning.

In this clip shared by the familyWe see the mother bear and her five cubs enjoying the cool pool and other toys around the backyard. So while some of the cubs wrestle with each other in the pool, the rest are busy on the family swing set and slide.
And the mother bear calmly watches over her cubs while relaxing in the refreshing cool water!

We love how each member of the Basso family has their own perspective on the bear visit in the behind-the-scenes chat. Their little one is excited at first but then gets a little stressed out when the cubs “steal” her float. Dad also seems upset when he realizes that the bears might be making holes in the pool.
However, Mom must have been delighted to witness the rare bear adventure unfold right before her eyes.

While the bear family’s fun pool party was generally wholesome, there was one moment that spooked the Bassos. Mother Bear grabbed the pool’s plugged-in electric pump and started messing with it, even putting it in the water.
