The failures that lead to the success of a photographer
Few of us publicize our failures, whether in a shoot, a business project, or an ambition. Failure is hard to swallow and often flies in direct opposition to our self-image. However, it is important to fail and that can be the case with frequent failures. If you never fail at anything you do, chances are you are pushing yourself, which is playing it safe.
In this video, Peter Lindgren, an undeniably successful photographer, videographer and YouTuber, talks about the failures that have led him to this point. Although he now has a reputation as a creative innovator in photography – and a very good one – he has failed in a similar career in another field. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, nothing strange, and it doesn’t detract from his achievements. As far as I can tell, failure is necessary to succeed in any dramatic and meaningful way.
