The “devil” Chihuahua helped her new mother overcome trauma

In April 2021, the most brutally honest depiction of adoption resulted in Praise the “devil” Chihuahua that found a permanent home. Somehow, calling the dog a “Chucky doll in a dog’s body” caused Prancer to receive a large number of applications. In the end, it even brought him to his perfect family.

Now, months later, Prancer’s new mom can’t help but exclaim how much she loves him. Although he may be a “Victoria child obsessed” around other people and dogs, he is still loving and loyal to his family forever. In fact, his mother even revealed that this once-obnoxious dog has now helped her heal her past heartbreak.

Love at first sight

Ariel Davis adopted Prancer shortly after his adoptive mother, Tyfanee Fortuna, posted a humorous description of him. Many foster families try to hide their dog’s flaws, but Fortuna doesn’t hold back.

“For the past few months, I have been trying to post this dog for adoption and make it sound… delicious. The point is, he’s not,” Fortuna wrote. “There isn’t such a big market for neurotic, human-hating, animal-hating, child-hating dogs that look like hounds. But I have to believe that someone is out there for Prancer because I’m tired, and so is my family.”

And as it turned out, Davis was his perfect match. Of all the applicants, Fortuna’s family knew that Davis was the one for this particular Chihuahua. So Davis opened the door for Prancer to give him a chance to show his loving side. Before being rescued, Prancer had lived with an elderly woman until she died and left him alone, so of course, it wasn’t easy for him. He just needs a second chance in the right environment.

But love goes both ways. While Prancer feels more comfortable around Davis, he also helps Davis. Davis spent 15 years of her life dealing with trauma and drug abuse. It cost her her fluffy friends at the time.

“I had two dogs that I took good care of, but my addiction increased, and about three years ago, it got to the point where I had to go to a treatment facility, so I went to Connecticut, and it wasn’t. luckily, I said Davis.

All dogs can be perfect

When Davis read about Prancer, she explained that he reminded her a lot of Doodle, one of the dogs to which she surrendered. Davis lives with no other men or pets, so she has the home that Prancer is looking for. She was unafraid of his behavioral problems.

“I am used to dealing with animals that struggle, have an anxiety disorder, don’t get along with other animals or other people, and I find it very uncomfortable, the small kinship with Prancer as it spoke my language and I spoke to him,” Davis said.

Since Prancer was adopted, Davis even described him as “perfect” for her. It’s interesting considering how imperfect he is in his foster home. However, it just goes to show that every dog can seem perfect for the right family. Davis thinks life with Prancer is even better than she could have imagined.

“It’s absolute heaven even through struggles because life is struggles. No one has a perfect life. Nothing is perfect. Davis said.

Davis proudly says that meeting Prancer was like falling in love at first sight. Both Davis and Prancer are very lucky to have each other.
