The Big Rig Proves Why You Shouldn’t Park On Interstates
This traffic camera video from the Minnesota Department of Transportation provides a vivid lesson in why when you have an incident on the interstate, one way or another, you have to limp your vehicle to get it to work. avoid traffic.
And if it’s too disabling for that, and you can get out safely, then get out on your own.
The video was shot Wednesday on I-35 near Forest Lake, on the edge of the Twin Cities. The driver of the red pickup truck hit a deer, according to the broadcaster WCCO. It’s not clear why, but the animal attack appeared to leave the pickup too disabled to move over the shoulder.
Fortunately, the driver managed to get out of the pickup truck, which was abandoned in the lane minutes before the pickup pulled up and grabbed it. After the collision, both the pickup and the pickup truck crossed the road, while the second caught fire on the track.
No one was injured. Except the deer.
