Leaning towers aren’t just for Pisa, Italy, anymore. The Andaz Capital Gate, Abu Dhabi occupies the upper floors of the United Arab Emirates city’s “Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi” (officially known as Capital Gate) and is just as impressive on the inside as its exterior suggests.
If seemingly slanted structures aren’t your thing, don’t fret: It doesn’t feel like you’re actually leaning over unless you purposefully look down from select parts of the building, such as 18 Degrees Bar (a venue named for the westward lean of the building, which is the most of any structure in the world). Despite this property clocking in at 320 accommodations, the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort exudes more of a surfer-chic boutique hotel vibe thanks to its bright rooms, open-air lobby and terraced network of swimming pools overlooking the ocean.

In fact, the stained-glass dome in the hotel’s ballroom is one of the few in London to survive World War II bombings, thanks to the staff protecting it with mattresses.

While the 307-room hotel might be in the middle of one of the world’s largest cities, it’s easy to feel right at home and unwind here. Guest rooms and suites overlook the Xintiandi (“New World”) neighborhood of Shanghai and have darker design elements but still feel spacious thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows.
Even the smallest accommodations are roomy at 441 square feet, though if you desire more elbow room, the property has you covered. Book the Andaz Loft King or Andaz XL Suite for a two-story layout ideal for spreading out while on vacation.

This stunning property, which opened in 2021, is about a 30-minute drive away from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) on Bali’s southeast coast. The lush gardens and landscaping combined with the off-the-beaten-path location help make it a great place to enjoy a quiet Bali getaway.
Many of the Andaz Bali’s buildings are open-air and covered in ivy, adding to the allure of the 149 guest rooms, suites and villas. Depending on which spacious accommodation you choose, you’ll enjoy either garden, pool, lagoon or ocean views. Thatched-roof villas are a decadent splurge, with private pools, Balinese design and more space to entertain or relax.
For a bite to eat, head to one of five on-site restaurants. The beachfront, seafood-focused Fisherman’s Club arguably has the best views, while Wok Wok appeals to hungry guests seeking delectable Indonesian fare.
