The 18-year-old dog who surrendered to “stupidity” finally found someone to love him forever
At the ripe old age of 18, Figgy the Toy Poodle discovers he is blind, has no teeth… and is abandoned. Who can do such a thing?
The old dog had to surrender at a veterinary clinic, where it could meet its ultimate fate. But by a stroke of luck, the confused, frightened schoolmaster finds his way into the loving care of the Muttville Senior Dog Rescue Team in San Francisco, California.
When he arrived with his papers, staff and volunteers were shocked to learn the reason for his surrender: his owner’s wife “didn’t like him” because “he was stupid” stupid.” Unbelievable!
Furthermore, according to the paperwork, it looks like they haven’t had a poor dog for too long. It is possible that he lived in several different houses.
But thanks to the Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, Figgy is finally surrounded by people who truly appreciate him. And it’s not long before the senior gets the best news: he’s moving into a permanent home!
