Did you know that not all Candle created equal? Many major candle brands have switched to using clean, all-natural ingredients in their products, but not all provide ingredient lists. That makes it almost impossible for us to figure out which one is healthier for our home and our bodies. In the process of researching this story, we came across a number of factors that can help determine if a candle lower in toxicity. All in all, it’s good to know about the different waxes, conditioners, and fragrances you’re using. Healthier waxes, like soy, beeswax and coconut oil burn cleaner than paraffin, which is essentially petroleum waste! You’ll also want to look for natural scents that are derived from essential oils and botanical ingredients because synthetic fragrances often contain phthalates. Then make sure your candle has a paper or 100% cotton wick.
