Tattersalls October Online Sale Now Available

The catalog for the Tattersalls October Online Sale has been published and can be viewed at www.tattersallsonline.com. The sale, which took place October 20-21, attracted 46 entries and featured 34 mares and mares, as well as a wide variety of horses in and out of training, some clever crossbreeds, a personal supply store and a stout pony hunted by the young sire Masar.

The price drop has attracted a strong portfolio that includes mares and well-related mares ranging from mares in the foal to Australia’s leading proven stallions, Acclamation and Bated Breath, as well as the delightful young stallions Masar, Magna Grecia and Harry Angel among others. The catalog includes mares from famous stallions Street Cry, Shamardal, Dubawi, and Mastercraftsman, and two mares from elite international stallions Fastnet Rock.

Highlights of the stallions listed in the catalog include a trio consigned by the Irish Emerald Stud, led by the black, dam-producing Althanian mares of the listed August Stocks that place Maskud. The daughter of the much sought-after queen of Street Cry, Althania was off the list of winners on the List and Group 2 went to Gabriellina Giof. She is joined by Catchline, the dam of three winners and half-sister to the Group 1 winners of the Ancient World and Jilbab, and the Lake of Hope, whose aspiration is to sell for 110,000 guineas at Book 1 of the October 5th Promotion, and who was offered for sale as a pony to demonstrate the many Group 1 productions of the Proclamation of Stallions.

Sure to catch the eye of a buyer is Valerie’s Memory, the half-brother of the Group 2 Plainchant winning mare, who sold for 490,000 guineas at the 2021 Tattersalls December Mares Sale for Oceanic Bloodstock for White Birch Farm. They don’t have Nadinska, the half-sister to the Group 2 and Group 1 winner who placed Laugh Out Load, herself the dam of the winning Platinum Warrior Group 2.

The seven-item draft of Elwick Stud features five mares, a stout three-year-old from Invincible Spirit, and an aspiring baby from Mondialiste. The shipment included mares Lope De Vega La Arcadia, offered in ponies for the production of the Acclaim Classic. La Arcadia is a half-sister to multiple Pool 3 and Pool 1 winners placing Stotsfold, and is closely related to Rank 1 winner Capla Temptress.
