At the end of 2021, popular video game creator Goichi “Suda51” Suda announced his development studio had join the Chinese video game group NetEase.

In a recent interview uploaded on NetEase Games YouTube Channel (via Niche Gamer), Suda has now discussed a bit more about what lies ahead – revealing a reveal, possibly before the end of 2022:
“So the games we make at this studio… I mean games that are really, really fun and completely new, we’re going to keep making them and I think people will. really impressive I wonder when I can announce this…? Maybe around the end of the year…? I’m not sure… Maybe late next year we’ll see it unfold Anyway, I wanted to quickly show everyone what we’re doing.”
Grasshopper has opened a new studio thanks to a partnership with NetEase, nicknamed “Yabukiri Studio” (Yabukiri is “the hardest of the grasshoppers”). Also labeled “Grasshopper version 5.1” by Suda.
In addition to the reveal of a future project, Suda is hoping to get younger Grasshopper employees to work on their own projects with their own “new style of gameplay,” then move on with other titles. second and third games.
