The next DLC expansion for Stranger of Paradisecalled Wanderer of the Rift, releases next week and Square Enix has detail what to expect from it. When it launches on October 26, 2022, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin players will have the opportunity to go a few rounds with the symbol Final Fantasy character Gilgamesh.

The Stranger of Paradise The Wanderer of the Rift expansion details Gilgamesh’s arrival in Jack’s world. It also shows some other updates that come with the DLC. Jack and his friends will be able to explore the Rift Maze, a new mode featuring short, randomly constructed dungeons. These dungeons will allow players to have more diverse experiences beyond story campaigns. Playing through the Rift Maze will also unlock a new playable job: Blue Mage. Like Blue Mage’s Final Fantasy In previous games, Jack would be able to learn enemy abilities and use them as his own. Jack can charge abilities to make them stronger or enhance them using his MP. Jack’s time in the Rift Labyrinth will also unlock the ability to command the Dimension Bringer, which slows enemies in an area and causes player damage to increase each time an action skill is cast.
Wanderer of the Rift will also add a new difficulty level Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. The new difficulty “Gilgamesh” will raise the enemy’s level even further and add the powerful “Chaotic Monster” to the quests. Playing on Gilgamesh difficulty also unlocks new relic gear that comes with Summoning Blessings that add special effects and improve character abilities based on their value. These blessings can be obtained from a new NPC, Tonberry Blacksmith. Finally, the item “Monster Bell” allows the player to instantly summon monsters to aid them in battle. New monsters can be unlocked by completing special events with them and increasing their affinity through conversations, feeding them, and using items.

Stranger of Paradise Available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. Season Pass is required to access the Wanderer of the Rift DLC (and all other expansion DLC). Wanderer of the Rift launches on October 26, 2022.
