The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association (MTA) will be auctioning the 2022 Stallion season from January 3 to January 10, featuring over 50 top stallions from Kentucky, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma and Minnesota. The online auction will be held at www.thoroughlybred.com.
A $1,000 incentive is again offered for this year’s auction from the Minnesota Breeders’ Fund. Any breeder who purchases a seasonal mare through the MTA 2022 Mare Season Auction and foal in Minnesota, will receive a check for $1,000 when the foal is registered with the Minnesota Racing Commission in 2023.
“As we look forward to 2022, the organizers at the Minnesota Thoroughbred Society are delighted to offer breeders these top stud seasons for bidding. Kay King, CEO of the MTA, said.
Bids will be placed on a rotating basis for all seven days of the sale beginning January 3. Showcase seasons can be searched by state or name on the website. New steed seasons may continue to be added for the duration of the sale.
