Sriram makes clear about new T20 role with Bangladesh ahead of Asian Cup 2022


Sridharan Sriram said he was clear about his role with the Bangladesh team after the former India all-rounder was included in the Twenty20 squad until the end of the World Cup in Australia this year.

After six years as an assistant coach with the Australian men’s team ended last month, Sriram has been appointed technical advisor of the Bangladesh Twenty20 team ahead of the team’s Asian Cup campaign in the United Arab Emirates best.

“My job is basically to work with the captain, team director and skills coaches, bring all three components together and use my T20 experience in IPL and Australia and come up with a solution. a strategy where we can use our resources judiciously.”

Sriram says it’s a “fantastic move” to bring in all-star Shakib Al Hasan as captain of the Twenty20 team.

“I respect him as an opponent and it was nice to see his perspective on the T20 match. It was very modern, it was very fresh, and we were on the same page. “

Bangladesh began its Group B campaign against Afghanistan in Sharjah on Tuesday.
