Sophia Bush debuts red hair for July 4

Sophia Bush Just Debuted a Brand New Hairstyle in Honor of July 4—Days Ago One Tree Hill The star really stuck with the Independence Day theme by going red!

In a new Instagram post, the actress showed off her newly dyed hair, which has gone from her usual dark brown to a light chestnut shade. “We decided to put RED in ‘red white and blue’ this year ♥️” she wrote in the caption, tagging her stylist, Nikki Lee.

Bush also posted a TikTok video in honor of her hair change, in which she lip-syncs to a snippet of audio that reads, “Imagine the day we meet again, and you’ll be better,” as she transitions into a clip of her showing off her new bronze hair.

Although Bush has had brown hair for several years, this isn’t the first time she’s dyed her hair red. Back in 2008, she dyed her hair red ahead of filming Narrow canyon. Then she said to Refinery29“I’m just having a good time with it. I Love playing with hair color. If you can’t have a little fun, I don’t know what you’re doing.” It’s clear she still wants to have a little fun.

Bush came out as gay in an essay The Glamour earlier this year. “I finally felt like I could breathe,” she wrote. “I don’t think I can explain how profound it was. I felt like I had been wearing a weighted vest for who knows how long. I didn’t realize how heavy it was until I finally put it down.”

A few days later, she made her red carpet debut with partner, soccer player Ashlyn Harris at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC, where the couple wore matching all-black outfits.

More recently, her former co-star and ex-boyfriend, Chad Michael Murrary, spoke out about short-lived love—The couple were only married for five months in 2005.“I was a kid.
